Library Discovery is Changing

How will this affect classes during summer terms?

If your summer class ends before June 30, it won't affect you at all. For classes that go past that date we will be in touch directly with faculty to make sure they have specific instructions.

July 1, 2015 – Access to WorldCat Local will be discontinued.  You should:

• use the Pegasus catalog to locate books and movies in our library collection.
• use Academic Search Complete as a general tool for finding journal articles, or use discipline specific databases.
• use WorldCat Discovery to locate books in other library collections.
• replace links to items in WorldCat Local with links to specific databases or catalogs. (feel free to ask your subject librarian for help)

July 22, 2015 – Pegasus will be replaced by the new discovery system.  You should:

• use the new library discovery system at libraries.luc.edu to search for all library materials, including books, movies, and journal articles. (Pegasus will remain active for a limited time after July 22, but may not be current)
• continue to use Pegasus to locate items on course reserve until the fall semester begins.
